5 Speed Conversion (Less G/Box) LHD 8" Clutch

This beautifully engineered kit is supplied with every part needed to adapt a modern 5-speed all synchro gearbox for use in your T or Y-Type, offering relaxed cruising, less vibration, greater economy and longer engine life.

It uses a Ford Sierra Type 9 gearbox as used on 1.6L and 1.8L (1982-91) and 2.0L (1982-87). The gearbox is not part of the kit, but we can supply a guaranteed unit, or a sound unit can often be obtained cheaply from a vehicle dismantler.

The original clutch assembly is retained, as is the cross-shaft and release mechanism. The gear lever stays in the original position, and there is little evidence of the conversion once fitted. It is easy to revert to original equipment should this be required.
